Required Elements we need from you:

Ok, let's have some fun! For this project, these are the types of elements we need from you.

1. Required: Info needed to write the lyrics: Please send over 6-8 short paragraphs or bullet points. We recommend sending around 500-700 words of info to write great lyrics! 💛 Feel free to highlight or *asterisk info that should absolutely be included in the song (top priority), as we likely won't be able to include all the info in the lyrics!

Great info to send includes special memories, inside jokes, nicknames, places you’ve been, how the person makes you feel, what you love about the person, your hopes in the future for the person, what makes that person special in general and special to you, what the person means to you, how you’re grateful for the person, your wishes/prayers for the person, how the person has changed your life, unique personality traits, and anything that would make the gift recipient smile (or tear up).

Bonus: Though you have an idea of my musical style from viewing the portfolio/designs page, you may request what sort of “feel” or “vibe” you’d like the song to have. My style is generally folksy, singer/songwriter by feel, but I’m happy to do my best to accommodate!

2. Required: Images: Images are a great way to reach back into the memory bank (or even recent events) and bring up some great times. Bonus points for high-quality images.
⚠️ Suggested quantity of photos: Approximately 60. Approximately 20 will go into the main video, and 40 more will go into the post-song slideshow. You may consider sending a nice mix of photos highlighting the gift recipient as well as photos of him/her with loved ones, and even photos of memories, even if they don’t include people. Whatever will be meaningful to the recipient is great!

3. Recommended: Silent/Mute Videos: If you send videos, we’ll place them throughout the design. Please note that the videos that you send will be muted since there will be music and singing in the main video.

⚠️ Suggested quantity of videos: 2-3 videos, around 10-20 seconds each. This will be placed in the main video. Since these videos won’t have audio, consider sending videos highlighting the joy of the recipient along with loved ones, special moments, and highlights of life that are self-explanatory without the need for audio.
